All software downloads include a manual in PDF format. Download the software for your specific scanner and install it. After installation start the ARC software and then you can open the PDF manual by selecting Help _ Open manual in the software.

For ARC500/ARC500PRO an online manual is available.

In the past we used a name/key combination but customers where entering their own name. We changed this to key1/key2.

So in the key1 field enter the 'name' from the original registration and in the key2 field enter the 'key' from the original registration.

The software download is a so called zip file. Windows natively supports this format. After downloading double click on the zip file to open it. You can then double click the file to install the software.

You can install and activate the software on two different PC's. If you use more PC's then you need to purchase additional licenses.

Yes you can, please purchase the upgrade option using this link: ARC Upgrade , we also need a copy of your basic license details. These orders are processed manually so it can take up to two working days to process them. Thank you.

The software is an electronic download. We do not ship items. If you are looking for  USB or CD version please visit ScannerMaster or call 1-800-SCANNER

After you completed the purchase we will send you an email with your unique software keys. This may take a few minutes to arrive. if you created an account then your keys are also visible in the Keys section of your account:

To register the software start your scanner software. Go to Help _ About and there enter your key details. Keys are emailed to you after the purchase. If you did not receive an email please first check your spam/bulk email folders.

Yes, we also have a EU tax ID. Please contact us by email: shop@butel.nl. We can send you an invoice and after payment is received we can process the order.

We accept all major credit cards and paypal. We do not use paypal for our credit card payments. 

To upgrade your software simply download the latest release from our website. Every software product page has a demo download link to the latest release. After download install the latest version and your software will be automatically upgraded to the latest release. Make sure you have your product key available, after installing the latest release you may need to re-activate the software with your key info.

Causes:

The System Registry may be erroneously pointing to a temp drive.

Solution:

• Back up the Registry.
• Go to Start > Search > and then type Regedit.
• Navigate to the following folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
• In the right panel, search for entries that list the drive letter referenced in the error message. 
• Modify the value of those entries to to point to C:\ drive and verify that the folder path referenced in the key value exists.
• Repeat the same steps for the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

The selected com/usb port is not in use or is used by other software. Open the Windows device manager and locate the port number assigned to the USB device:
